Love in fear

Fear inside me growing steadily
love inside me growling equally
the strength the love provides me with
gets slowly swallowed by my fears

The water that dwells inside my head
and finds it’s way out through tears
the emptiness that they leave behind
only feeds my worst fears

My heart that beats an irregular pace
whenever I think about you
the adrenaline that pumps me up
when I have you near

The fear of losing the one I love
is growing every day and night
I know I cannot really keep you
though I want to hold on tight

The love that came with the fear
the love that drew you near to me
the fear of losing your touch
has finally made me see

that you
you really do
belong to
me...

Fading like a flower,
